Speaker Bios:
Gabriela Arriagada is a Professor of Applied Ethics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and has worked extensively on biases in AI, and on education and AI.
Jennie Blake is Head of Teaching and Learning Development at The University of Manchester Library and Academic Lead for Student Success for the Institute of Teaching and Learning. Her work focuses on collective and collaborative learning and staff/student partnerships, including working with students to better understand how relational pedagogy and inclusive practice can support feelings of belonging and mattering.
Ke Hu is a Lecturer in Translation Studies at The University of Melbourne, specialising in the interplay of technology and language. He will be speaking on a related topic—“AI and Translation”—at the World Humanities Forum later this year.
Hafiz Noer serves as the Head of Research at the Center for Digital Society, Universitas Gadjah Mada and has been actively involved in various public discussions on the role of AI in education. His latest experience was facilitating an AI Policy and Skilling Lab program in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Education, the national AI association, and a digital platform company.
