Intellectuals and their Publics

Join us for an important Global Humanities Alliance Public Humanities workshop on Intellectuals and Their Publics, happening on 21 November 2025 at the Melbourne Global Centre, New Delhi.

This full-day event brings together scholars from Ashoka University, the University of Melbourne, Mahidol University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and the University of Nairobi to explore how intellectuals shape ideas, engage with society, and navigate their relationships with the state, media, and technology.
The sessions will trace evolving forms of intellectual authority—from ancient worlds to contemporary contexts.
